Chris Turner is the first of our chair persons, sharing the role with Andrew. Chris has previously served as chairman from 2006 to 2011. He started boating on the Thames in 1960 with Battersea scouts. Presently a member of the Windsor Yacht Club, Thames Motor Yacht Club, Thames Scout Cruising Club and Broom Owners Club. Chris also holds an MCA/RYA Offshore Yachtmaster certificate.
Andrew is the second of our chair persons, sharing the role with Chris. Together they engage with all our member clubs and represent the ATYC. Andrew is a member at the Thames Motor Yacht Club and for many years has been the person dealing with all the boat handling and training at the ATYC.
Theresa is the Honorary Secretary of the ATYC. She is a member of the Thames Vintage Boat Club and has been their secretary since 2012; she shares the Membership Secretary role with her husband Peter. Together they regularly attend the Thames Traditional Boat Festival in Henley with LUCY ANN, their 1954
30’ wooden cruiser. They are also members of Richmond Yacht Club.
Roger is the Hon Treasurer of the ATYC and a member of several boat clubs. His home club is the Middle Thames Yacht Club at Sunbury Lock Island. His 30 ft Broom Skipper RAGAMUFFIN II is moored at MTYC.

Dennis is responsible for the ATYC communications and looks after the website. He has been boating from a young age. His Dutch roots have certainly installed his love of the water and you can always find him in or around boats on the Thames. He has been a member of the Middle Thames Yacht Club since 2008 and serves as secretary.
Peter is our Deputy Chair (non-tidal) at the ATYC. He is a member of the Thames Vintage Boat Club and has been their Treasurer since 2010; he shares the Membership Secretary role with his wife Theresa. They regularly attend the Thames Traditional Boat Festival in Henley with LUCY ANN, their 1954 30’ wooden cruiser. They are also members of Richmond Yacht Club.
Roger heads up the team of ATYC Ambassadors, ensuring the good work of the association. Roger is the current Vice Commodore at Brentford Cruising Club, whose members are based in Brentford Dock Marina. Most of his boating has been in Cardigan Bay but he is now enjoying the tidal river and occasional trips upstream.
Richard has served on the ATYC committee for many years in different roles. He is the current District Commissioner & Centre Principal at the Docklands Scout Project where he governs a fleet of over 90 craft ranging fom canoes and kayaks through sailing dinghies to large motor craft that
operate in the dock and on river.
Pam looks after our events as coordinator. Together with her husband Phillip she has been a member of Richmond Yacht Club since 1954 where she met her husband in 1958. Pam has been the TVBC club representative at ATYC meetings for many years taking over from her father.
